Discovery Meeting
Every relationship begins with a conversation. We’ll discuss your goals, priorities, and concerns, walk through how we work, and decide together whether we’re a good fit. There is no investment minimum to start that conversation.
The Client Experience
Financial planning is not a one-time event—it’s a cycle we return to together. Hover or tap a millstone segment to see what happens at each step.
As a fiduciary wealth management firm serving the Twin Cities and Northern Virginia, our goal is to help you gain clarity and confidence in your financial future. Whether you’re preparing for retirement, diversifying a concentrated stock position, or coordinating a plan across two households, we work alongside you.
The six steps below are the client experience we use: discovery, data, design, presentation, implementation, and an ongoing partnership that keeps the plan current.
Every relationship begins with a conversation. We’ll discuss your goals, priorities, and concerns, walk through how we work, and decide together whether we’re a good fit. There is no investment minimum to start that conversation.
Once we move forward, we collect the details that shape your plan: accounts and cost basis, income and cash flow, equity compensation, tax returns, insurance, estate documents, and the family or charitable goals that matter most to you.
We study the full picture and design a strategy around your unique situation. That may include retirement income, concentrated stock positions, tax-aware investing, gifting, estate coordination, and the right mix of accounts and custodians.
We present your plan in plain language—what we recommend, why it fits, and how it would be implemented. You leave with a clear path, not a stack of unexplained reports.
With your approval, we put the plan to work: opening or transferring accounts, placing trades (including individual lot sales when appropriate), coordinating gifts or donor-advised funds, and aligning beneficiaries and cash flow.
Markets, taxes, and life all change. We stay with you through regular reviews, proactive advice, and the market research of our broader team so your plan keeps matching the life you’re living.
Two straightforward ways to engage—ongoing wealth management, or a one-time comprehensive financial plan.
Ongoing wealth management is compensated as a percentage fee of the assets held with our firm. That fee encompasses trading and account costs, along with comprehensive planning, investment management, and ongoing advice as your life and markets change.
For clients who want a comprehensive written plan they can implement themselves, we offer a one-time financial plan. The plan is written, delivered, and yours to keep—without an ongoing asset-based relationship if that is the better fit.
The first step is a conversation. There is no investment minimum—we’ll use a discovery meeting to see whether working together is a good fit for you and for our firm.
Schedule a complimentary discovery meeting and see whether we’re the right partner for your financial life.
